"Labwork" is another one of the 'gameplay' themes from the EyeWire soundtrack - and it's actually the first one that I finished! I'm not sure what inspired me to work in 5/4, but I like the feeling of it.
That said - this is admittedly one of the weaker tracks from the album 🫠 - hahaha I think I was still getting used to the genre I'd designed for the game and, truthfully, this was the first piece of truly professional work I'd ever done. I guess you could say this is the first track I ever had in a game, so it's reasonable that I've come a long way since. (and it doesn't sound too bad)
