music is such a funny art form to me
it's one of the forms of art that demands attention and invites indulgence. it's difficult, if not impossible, to get a full picture of the emotional landscape of a musical work without spending some time with it

If I had to update my thought I'd say - it's so weird living in modern times as an artist, selling out 'virtual stadiums,' but rarely meeting the people whose lives you're surely touching.
I still remember the time someone recognized me at GDC, walked up to ask if I was the composer for Calico, and told me it was one of her favorite albums.
