It can be easy to look around at the state of our industry and get discouraged. I've been there. In 2025, the message was "Survive until 2026." The year just started and it already feels like it's "Survive until 2027." Or maybe just "Survive."

But I think we can do better than that. When I'm in the company of such wonderfully talented, kindhearted, remarkable people, I see how we can Thrive. We thrive in warm smiles and good conversation. We thrive in good jokes told over good food and good drinks. We thrive through building the strong, caring relationships that grow into unstoppable creative partnerships.


People still like video games. People still care about the people making them. We still care about each other. I don't have all of the answers, but as long as those three things are true - and we keep surviving - I'm sure we'll figure something out.
